Opening of Zayed Hospital in Yemen visited by UAE ambassador

The UAE ambassador to Yemen, Abdullah Matar Al Mazrouei, visited the Sheikh Zayed Maternity and Children's Hospital yesterday in preparation for its opening.

Funded by the Khalifa bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation, the 180-bed hospital, which has five operating rooms, is located north of the Yemeni capital Sana in the Al Raudha area.

The opening of Zayed Hospital is set to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the September Revolution of Yemen, a national holiday which celebrates the 1962 revolution which led to the creation of the modern Republic of Yemen.
