No change to UAE-Egypt flights as unrest enters day 7

ABU DHABI // Flights to Egypt by Etihad, Emirates and FlyDubai airlines were today running to schedule after a night of further protests in the country.

Etihad said it had no plans to run further supplementary flights to the country today and its existing schedule to Cairo and Alexandria remained unaffected.

Only flight EY651, due to arrive at 1.20am in the Egyptian capital this morning, was cancelled.

Following discussions with UAE authorities, three additional flights were made available to bring back 517 people in the past two days.

FlyDubai has no scheduled flights to Egypt today, but services planned for tomorrow are running as planned.

Emirates said its services were unchanged but advised passengers to reconsider non-essential travel to Cairo.

All three airlines said customers should check the status of their flights online.
