New Year holiday for UAE public and private sectors

The National staff

Public and private sectors in the UAE will have a holiday on Tuesday, January 1, to mark New Year's Day, it was announced this morning.

Work will resume on Wednesday, January 2, according to a statement issued by Humaid Mohammad Al Quttami, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Federal Authority of Human Resources.

The announcement was made on Wam, the state news agency.
