Mountain bikers will scale RAK hills to raise cash for cancer charity
Dubai's Hot Cog mountain bike club will ride the mountains of Ras Al Khaimah for breast cancer awareness on October 18 and 19.
Mountain bikers are invited to camp near the village of Showka, a village about 80 kilometres south-east of Dubai, on Thursday night and will hit the trails at 7am the next day. All levels of bikers are welcomed and donations will go to Breast Cancer Arabia.
"This is a side of cycling that people are unaware of because it's not seen. It's a healthy sport, it gets you outdoors and it's much safer than road biking," said Andy Whitaker, the club organiser.
