More Madonna tickets to go on sale today

Organisers for the eagerly awaited forthcoming Madonna concerts to be held at the Du Arena on Yas Island have released a further batch of tickets to go on sale today.

The 22,000 tickets for the first concert on Sunday sold out within hours in February. Flash Entertainment quickly announced a second concert to be held the following night.

And now Flash has released more tickets, saying that recent changes to the venue, including a new stage and larger grassed areas, had created more space for extra fans.

These tickets -organisers did not say how many there were - can be purchased from the Flash website or at Virgin Megastores in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

About 300 original tickets have been reissued due to a technical glitch. Flash said that some etickets emailed to customers for the two shows contained incorrect category details. "This bug was identified quickly and the error has been corrected," said Mira Sadek.

She said the company had been in direct contact with those who have been affected and updated tickets will have been sent via email before close of business yesterday.

The email that was sent yesterday morning said the tickets had been "printed incorrectly" and "will not be able to gain you access into the venue".

The new tickets must be printed and presented at the concert venue to gain access, as the previous tickets "have been automatically voided".
