Medical supplies for Palestinian children returned to Dubai team by Israel

The Children's Medical Centre team from Dubai has retrieved its 400 kilograms of medical supplies meant to treat Palestinian children after Israeli customs confiscated them at the Allenby Bridge crossing on the border with Jordan.

They were carrying supplies to treat injured children in Israel's recent shelling campaign, and those born with congenital deformities.

"We got our supplies back on Tuesday night," said a spokeswoman for Dubai charity Little Wings Foundation facilitating the mission. The customs charged US$1,500 (Dh5,500) for returning them.
