Maid stabbed her boyfriend to death after marriage refusal, police say
A housemaid has been arrested for stabbing her boyfriend to death in a fit of rage.
The Ethiopian, who worked in Samnan, first said she went to the room of her lover, who worked as a driver for the same family as her, at 3.30am on Sunday and found him stabbed to death.
Later she admitted to having an affair with the driver, who was also from Ethiopia, Sharjah police said.
She said he had refused to marry her and had borrowed money that he never repaid. She said she was blinded by anger and stabbed him as he slept.
The case has been referred to public prosecution.
