In celebration of the last 10 days of Ramadan, the Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation has had to increase the festivities organised for needy families in Jerusalem.

The state news agency, Wam, said that over the course of the past six days, volunteers had handed out roughly 1,500 meals a day - double the amount the foundation had passed out at the beginning of the Holy Month.

Activities will continue to take place in Al Aqsa Mosque and other locations, all of which are in the Old City of Jerusalem.
