Just eight per cent of Emirates Nursing Association nurses are Emirati
Only eight per cent of nurses registered at the Emirates Nursing Association are Emiratis, equivalent to just 294 out of a total of 3,561 nurses, according to the association.
The association also revealed that just 140 of its nurses are male, or four per cent.
On the sidelines of a presentation in Sharjah recently, chair of the Emirates Nursing Association board Aysha Al Marri said that the overall number of expatriate nurses registered is 3,267, or 92 per cent, of which 3,421 (96 per cent) are women.
