Hotel death was US businessman, say police

Dubai Police said yesterday that the death of a man whose body was found on Saturday in the Gloria Hotel, in Media City, was caused by an overdose of a medicine used to fight depression and schizophrenia.

Police are not treating the death of the 35-year-old American businessman Tom J Anderson as a criminal case.

Previously, the Tabnak website, which is close to Mohsen Rezaei, a prominent Iranian politician, had identified the dead man as Mr Rezaei's son, Ahmad Rezaei, but police did not confirm that report.
