DUBAI // The civic body has organised 10,000 free health check-ups for its workers this summer.
Employees will have their blood pressure checked and will their sugar and cholesterol levels tested before receiving a gift, Dubai Municipality said.
The initiative is part of their workers recognition programme and will run from May to September. Earlier this year, 3,000 staff received free check-ups.
Dr Munir Hamad from Dubai Municipality Clinic said their goal was to detect diseases as early as possible.
"The participating hospitals will also provide free and discounted treatment for certain diseases not covered by the insurance policy after necessary approvals from the municipality," he said.
