Girl, 15, dies in Al Ain after drowning in pond
A 15-year-old Arab girl died yesterday morning after drowning in a pond in Al Ain.
The girl had gone out for a walk, accompanied by one of her family members and a neighbour.
They were walking along the lorry road in Al Qasees area when the girl slipped into the pond and drowned, according to Abu Dhabi Police.
When the police and rescuers reported to the scene, they found the victim dead, said Col Mohammed Suheil Al Rashidi, the deputy head of Al Ain Police directorate. Col Al Rashidi urged parents to exercise caution when taking strolls.
