Fire hits Sharjah football stadium
Firemen are still fighting a blaze at the Al Sha'ab football stadium in Sharjah which started this morning. According to witnesses the fire struck the biggest Ramadan fair in Sharja, destroying most of the stalls which sell local garments at the stadium. The fire is also believed to have destroyed a pavilion hosting a Ramadan exhibition which had only opened three days ago. The cause of the blaze is still not known. Police have not yet advised whether anyone has been injured in the incident.
