Fire breaks out on boat in Dubai shipyard

DUBAI // A fire that broke out on a boat in Jadaf shipyard near Dubai Festival City last night burned for hours, but Dubai officials reported no one was hurt in the blaze.

On Twitter, Dubai police reported that Civil Defence was on the scene at 10.43pm, but users on the social media site said the fire continued to rage for several hours. The Dubai Creek Metro station was closed around 9.45pm because of the blaze.

Police also noted there were no injuries in the incident.
