UAE inks environmental deal with New Zealand


The UAE signed an agreement with New Zealand on Monday to join forces in future environmental matters.

The UAE’s Foreign Minister, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received his New Zealand counterpart, Murray McCully, today, said state news agency, Wam.

The meeting discussed issues of mutual concern and ways of enhancing bilateral relations for the best interest of the two countries.

According to Wam, the meeting ended with the two ministers signing an agreement for joint cooperation in issues concerning the environment. However, further details of the agreement have not yet been released.
