Clean-up campaign nets 600kg of waste in Dubai

DUBAI // A month-long clean up drive by Dubai Municipality, Panasonic, and Imdaad has netted 600kg of waste across the city.

Families of Panasonic employees collected waste from their homes and neighbouring areas, the municipality provided material and technical support, and waste was sent to Imdaad's facilities for recycling.

Hussain Lootah, the director general of Dubai Municipality, said they were willing to lend their support to anyone willing to join its efforts to keep Dubai a green and sustainable city.

The initiative was described by Panasonic as "just a start towards realising our goal to make certain we create a greener, healthier and safer environment for generations to come".
