A tree for every home in Dubai
Dubai municipality will distribute a tree for every house in the emirate until National Day, as part of a campaign called "One Home One Tree".
The initiative is in response to a call by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, for the planting of union trees.
The campaign promotes patriotism and gives citizens a chance to express the spirit of belonging and loyalty to their homeland, according to Eng. Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director General of Dubai Municipality.
"This occasion reflects the extent of awareness and sense of responsibility towards the nation and its environment," he said.
