Emirati and expatriate artists urged to enter contest

The second international emerging artist award is now open to entrants.

The competition, searching for contemporary talent, has two categories - one for Emiratis and one for foreigners.

Sheikha Wafa Hasher Al Maktoum, who is also a member of the jury panel, said: "The art scene in the UAE has proven its maturity and it is now ready to welcome an event of this importance." The winners will see their work showcased in Dubai, Singapore, Istanbul and Marseille.
