Emirates Palace Christmas tree awarded Guinness world record

ABU DHABI // A Christmas tree erected in Emirates Palace hotel has been recognised by Gunness World Records as the most expensive ever created.

Valued at more than US$11.5 million (Dh42.24m), the tree was adorned with precious stones and gems on loan from the Style Gallery, a jeweller at the hotel.

“This is another unique mark by the Emirates Palace and our responsibility to ensure the best international presence,” said Hans Olbertz, the hotel’s general manager.
