Dubai 'a global hub' for London Business School

Students from Beijing, Moscow and Toronto were among 78 graduates to receive MBA degrees from the London Business School's programme at the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). More than 25 countries were represented in the programme's second graduating class. Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, the dean of London Business School, said the Dubai centre had become "a global hub" for the institution.

"Students come in from as far as Beijing, Jakarta, Baghdad, Athens, Moscow, Cairo and Toronto," he said. "Our Dubai centre is a great complement to the diversity of our London campus." The 18-month programme is one of several business-related courses available at the DIFC Centre of Excellence, which is connected with business schools around the world. The programme consists of four-day modules taught in Dubai and courses taught in London.

London Business School began offering courses in Dubai three years ago and operates alongside other DIFC partners including the Queen's School of Business in Ontario, Canada, and the Cass Business School from City University London. @Email:dbardsley@thenational.ae
