Adec opens doors to scholarship applicants

Emiratis aged 18 to 24 who have scored 85 per cent or more in the final examinations may apply.

DUBAI // Emirati school graduates with high grades can apply for a scholarship from the education authority.

The Abu Dhabi Education Council has invited Emiratis aged 18 to 24 who have scored 85 per cent or more in the final examinations to apply.

Adec will accept online applications until May 9 through the Guidance and Scholarship section of www.adec.ac.ae.

Students will have to provide photographs, a copy of their passport, family book, Emirates ID, attested copies of their Grade 10, 11 and 12 transcripts and a letter of admission to an Adec -approved university.

The council is seeking applicants interested in pursuing programmes in chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering, health sciences, medicine, finance, history of arts, international studies, museum studies, accounting, journalism and media, and arts and tourism.

Undergraduate students need a GPA score of at least 3.0 to be selected.

Finalists will be interviewed before being placed either at UAE universities or abroad.
