Adec looks to Emiratis to fill teaching positions

The Abu Dhabi Education Council has begun interviewing Emiratis to fill 18 teaching posts next academic year.

Adec started on Monday and will continue for a final day tomorrow, between 9am and 4pm, at the Khalifa Award for Education in Al Karama.

The vacancies are in physical education, Islamic studies, Arabic, English, science and mathematics.

“The number of UAE nationals in the education sector across the emirate is 6,881, which is 47.5 per cent of the … sector,” said Dr Mugheer Al Khaili, director general of Adec.

“Staff are being selected based on certain standards and criteria to ensure they provide a high-quality education that will help students meet the job market needs of the future.”
