Dubai Police canine department helps ensure safety

The National staff

The Dubai Police canine department (K9) is helping in ensuring maximum security and safety.

The K9 carried out 3,794 inspection operations last year, and 1,699 in the first half of this year.

The tasks included hunting for drugs and explosives, visiting the crime scene, surveillance, tracking, searching for dead bodies and missing persons as well as investigating the cause of various fires.
