Dubai breast cancer awareness campaign draws to a close
DUBAI // The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has marked the end of its five-month breast cancer awareness campaign, which involved free counselling and the distribution of educational material about the disease.
The initiative toured government institutions and 7,000 people were reached.
Dr Moza Al Hattawi, chairwoman of the DHA Breast Cancer Campaign who lost her sister to the disease, said: “Almost 30 per cent of women who are diagnosed with breast cancer come to us in the third stage, and this is a trend we want to change.”
