Drunk man plunges to death from Jumeirah Beach Residence tower
DUBAI // A man who was heavily under the influence of alcohol lost his balance and fell to his death from a ninth-storey balcony at a Jumeirah Beach Residence tower last weekend, police said today.
Police received a report of the incident at around 11pm on Saturday, and rushed to the scene. They found the man's body on the street, with crowds of onlookers gathering around it.
The man, who was in his twenties and from an unnamed Asian country, had been enjoying an evening in his flat with two friends at the time of the incident, according to police.
He had lived in the flat alone.
"We have carried out the investigations, and forensic examination has confirmed that there is no criminal suspicion in this case," a spokesman for the Dubai Police CID said.
