Dh6 million housing project for Dubai market workers nearly complete
A housing project for workers of Al Awir fruits and vegetable market is nearly finished.
The 30,000-square-metre building, in Ras Al Khor Industrial 3, will have 92 rooms, a restaurant, laundry room, first-aid room and a building supervisor's room.
Workers said there were already eight other buildings for them near the market, but they looked forward to the new building because it was only a five-minute drive from work.
Dubai Municipality said the entire project would take eight months to complete and cost Dh6 million.
