Design upgrades for Dubai Police patrol vehicles

Dubai Police unveiled a new-look patrol car – and it looks remarkably like a Dodge Charger.

"The new patrol cars are a reflection of the efforts of the general command at Dubai Police to keep abreast of modern technological and scientific developments," said Maj Gen Khamees Matar Al Muzainah, deputy chief of Dubai Police.

The cars are to be launched following testing on Dubai city roads and motorways. Specifications of the vehicles and prototype images will be posted on the police website, on Facebook and Twitter to get feedback from the public.

Maj Gen Al Muzainah stressed the importance of "upgrading all vehicles and equipment that contribute to the upholding of security and safety and the enforcement of justice".
