Three-month sentence for theft, posing as police officer
DUBAI // An Emirati got three months in prison this morning posing as a police officer to rob a man of Dh510.
According to prosecution, the 33-year-old unemployed man presented himself as an officer about 4am on February 17 to EP, a Filipino, in Al Qusais area.
He stopped his vehicle and pushed EP inside before he and another man, who remains at large, threatened him and told him to give up his wallet.
The 47-year-old EP told prosecutors that the two men took his money, then dropped him in Al Muhaisanah area.
