DUBAI // A school cleaner kissed a 7-year-old girl who reminded him of his sister, a court heard today.
The girl, from the UK, was in the school playground when MS, 22, from Bangladesh, picked her up, kissed her cheek then pointed at his lips asking the girl to kiss him, prosecutors told the Criminal Court.
She told her mother who informed the school. The incident took place on March 4.
"When the section head questioned him he denied kissing the girl but later the same day he admitted standing cheek to cheek next to her, saying she reminded him of his little sister," testified PJ, a Nepali teacher assistant, 31.
At the Criminal Court, the cleaner denied a charge of forceful sexual assault. The court scheduled a vedict for September 17.
