Prostitute sneaked into UAE, Dubai court hears

A prostitute sneaked into the country through the Omani borders, the Dubai Criminal Court heard today.

KK, 30, arrived in Oman five months ago on a visit from her native Uzbekistan before heading to the UAE to work in the sex industry, according to prosecutors.

The woman was said to charge men Dh100 to have sex with her. Prosecutors said she confessed to the charge during interrogations. Today, she failed to show up at the court to enter a plea.

The case was adjourned to September 3.
