Man who hit another car while under the influence jailed

DUBAI // An Abu Dhabi man who drove while under the influence and collided with another car was sentenced to four years in prison.

The Emirati, SM, was en route to Dubai when he lost control and hit another vehicle, causing it "absolute damage", prosecutors said.

SM confessed at Dubai Criminal Court to charges of consuming drugs, driving under the influence of drugs, reckless driving and damaging a vehicle after colliding with it while driving under the influence.
