Labourer denies raping boy, 11

DUBAI // A labourer raped an 11-year-old boy in the car park of his family's apartment building, a court heard today.

The Emirati child AH told prosecutors that he first met MP, a Nepali, in November when he asked him to clean his mother's car. He said they exchanged mobile phone numbers and that the labourer then started sending him pornographic images and videos.

Days later the labourer asked to meet the boy again. When they did so, in January, the labourer took the boy into the underground car park in Al Qusais and asked him to have sex. When the boy refused, the labourer raped him twice, heard the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance.

The boy told his mother what happened after she discovered the pornographic images on his mobile phone. She then told his father, who reported the matter to police.

The boy's father HA, 38, said the boy had not reported the rape earlier as he was scared of the labourer.

A forensics report concluded the boy had been raped a number of times.

The labourer denied raping the boy.

The next hearing will be on April 29.
