Jail time for heroin-shooting Dubai Metro guard

DUBAI // A security guard who stole Dh800 from a Dubai Metro passenger has been sentenced to four years in prison, followed by deportation.

The Omani guard assaulted a passenger in October last year at the Union Metro Station.

Under questioning Bur Dubai police station, he confessed he had been on drugs - mainly heroin, for a year.

The man's urine test results confirmed he had been using drugs.
