Jail term upheld for Dubai man who molested niece
DUBAI // A man who molested his 9-year-old niece on the back seat of his car had his one-year jail term upheld by the Appeals Court today.
MS, a 34-year-old driver from Pakistan, was supposed to be taking the child to play when he stopped in a deserted area near Dubai Hospital on the evening of June 17 to let her go to the toilet. When she returned to the vehicle he molested her. The girl said this was not the first time he had done so.
A member of the public who became suspicious of the parked car investigated and saw the man lying on top of the naked girl.
His jail sentence will be followed by deportation.
