DUBAI // A chauffeur who molested his sponsor's 13-year-old son has been sentenced to one year in prison.
The Criminal Court found MK, a 37-year-old Pakistani, guilty on a charge of sexual assault and ordered him to be deported after serving his jail term.
The chauffeur took advantage of the boy while driving him back from school on September 16. When the boy went to get into the car he found the back door locked and so instead sat in the front passenger seat. During the journey home the driver told him to hold the steering wheel.
"When I grabbed the steering wheel with my right hand, he pulled my left hand and put it on his private parts," said the schoolboy. The child then pulled his hand back, but the driver asked him to touch him again. The boy refused.
When they arrived at the boy's home, the driver asked to take a photo of the boy with his mobile. He also asked the boy to go out with him, and warned the child not to tell his mother. He then massaged the boy's neck and back before leaving.
The boy told his mother about the incident.
"He told me what happened and asked me why the driver had acted like this," said the mother. The mother confronted the chauffeur over the phone and he hung up. She then called the police.
