Investor cleared of e-mail threats

DUBAI // An investor accused of threatening a business associate via e-mail was acquitted by a Dubai court this morning.

The 55-year-old FA, from Azerbaijan, had been charged with harassing OM between December 14 and 16, 2009.

Prosecutors said that after FA lost a court case against OM over a failed business deal, he began sending threatening e-mails. One said "I will hurt you when no one is around to help," according to the victim.
