Four men molested woman while under drug influence, Abu Dhabi court told

ABU DHABI // Four drugged-up men sexually assaulted a woman at an airport fast-food restaurant before beating up her brother, a court heard yesterday.

AS, TM, MA and MN, all Emiratis, are accused of touching the Emirati woman while in the queue at McDonald's.

She resisted and her brother, AA, intervened. The men then attacked both siblings, the Criminal Court was told.

A medical report found the sister had suffered a bruised nose and shoulder, while her brother had suffered "bruises and wounds".

The men were arrested and traces of hashish were found on them all. Two of the men had also taken psychotropic pills.

The defendants told police an argument had become physical. They claimed they too had been assaulted but denied sexually assaulting the woman or taking drugs. They denied charges of assault, sexual assault and drug consumption.

The case was adjourned until November 17.
