Dubai tourist and prostitute charged with consensual sex

DUBAI // A boozed-up tourist from Saudi Arabia had sex with an Uzbek prostitute at a hotel apartment in Muraqabbat, a court heard today.

Court records did not make clear how the two were caught, but DF, a 34-year-old from Uzbekistan, was charged with prostitution, while the tourist BS, 32, was charged with consensual sex. Both were also charged with the illegal use of alcohol.

At the Criminal Court the prostitute confessed to both charges, but the Saudi man said that while he had been drinking, he had not had sex.

A verdict is expected on December 23.
