Dubai police arrest man on suspicion on heroin sale

DUBAI // Police have arrested a man in Naif on suspicion of selling heroin.

The man, from an unnamed Asian country, was arrested on November 15 while showing the capsules to an undercover police officer in Bin Yas square.

"He was put on heavy surveillance and while he was busy showing the product to the supposed client officers rushed to arrest him," said Major General Abdul Al Jaleel Al Mahdi, the head of the anti-narcotic department.

After arresting the man police searched his flat where they found 68 capsules of heroin weighing more than a kilogram wrapped in plastic bags and hidden in his living room..

The case has been transferred to the public prosecution.
