Dubai man 'threatened to kill cousin's wife over police complaint'
DUBAI // A man has denied threatening to kill his cousin's wife over a police complaint her husband lodged against him.
"I didn't threaten her but I did call her and just told her to ask her husband to drop the complaint," SA, 30, an unemployed Emirati told the Criminal Court today.
Prosecutors claim that on September 18 last year the man called the woman and threatened to kill her and her husband if the complaint was not dropped.
"I was at my home when he called me," said the woman.
The man denied a charge of issuing threats and the case was adjourned to February 3.
