Complaint centre for telecoms customers

The country's telecoms authority has set up a centre to take suggestions and complaints from internet and telephone subscribers, the state news agency WAM reported. The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) said that it would accept grievances and inquiries via fax, telephone, e-mail and through its websites. Customers can also visit the authority in person and fill in a suggestions and complaints card.

The authority said its website outlined the procedures that a customer must follow when complaining about du and Etisalat's services. For an application to be accepted, the complainant must acquire a reference number, WAM reported. jgerson@thenational.ae
