Boy falls to death in Sharjah

SHARJAH // Another boy has fallen to his death in Sharjah, bringing the number of child falls in the emirate to more than five in about two weeks, police confirmed on Monday morning.

The 3-year-old Syrian boy plunged from the 14th floor window to the ground on Sunday at 9pm at Al Manara building on Jamal Abdul Nasser Road.

The building watchman said the boy was apparently playing with his mother and that she had turned away briefly when he had gone through the window.

Police were called immediately to the scene and residents had tried to help the boy before they arrived, rushing him to nearby Al Qassimi Hospital.

Police are still investigating the incident.

The building watchman said that the family had another little girl.
