Ban on Egyptian animal imports

The National staff

A temporary ban has been imposed on the import of hoofed animals from Egypt.

The action by the Ministry of Environment and Water comes in the wake of the recent foot and mouth disease outbreak in Egypt that has killed about 10,000 cows since February.
