Bain Al Jisreen neighbourhood renamed Al Maqtaa

Abu Dhabi Municipality has renamed the "Bain Al Jisreen" neighborhood "Al Maqtaa."

The municipality has already started changing signage in the area, located between Al Maqtaa Bridge and Al Musaffah Bridge, according to a news release issued yesterday.

The name was chosen to reflect the importance of Al Maqtaa Tower, a nearby fort used as a defence point during the mid-20th century.
