Bad blood from prison days blamed for UAE gang's attack on two men
Seven men kidnapped two others and attacked them with chains and knives in revenge for acts committed while in prison, the Abu Dhabi Criminal Court heard yesterday.
Prosecutors said the two victims were locked inside a room during the attack, which left one of them with a permanent disability.
Five of the accused denied the charges, while the other two did not appear in court.
The court heard that one of the kidnap victims was a former prison inmate with a history of fighting.
The case was adjourned until September 24 to appoint a lawyer for the defendants.
