Baby girl abandoned at Ajman mosque

AJMAN // A baby girl less than a week old has been found abandoned in a mosque in the Manama area in Ajman.

She was found in the women’s side of the mosque, by a woman arriving for Fajr prayers on Tuesday morning. The baby was apparently well covered in a blanket and likely to have been abandoned there a few minutes after the morning call for prayer by a previous worshipper, police said.

She was taken by ambulance to Sheikh Khalifa hospital, where she remains.
