Ajman Civil Defence says 1,176 buildings are dangerous

Ajman Civil Defence has classified 1,176 of the emirate's commercial and industrial establishments as hazardous, its head of prevention and safety said yesterday.

The 374 factories, 327 warehouses, 259 labour camps and 216 offices were not fined or issued with infringement notices, but they were notified.

Maj Faisal Al Shibah, head of the prevention and safety department at Ajman Civil Defence, said the campaign was organised mainly to create awareness.
