Air India pilots' strike affects Dubai passengers

Flights between the UAE and India continue to be affected by an Air India pilots' strike, including two Air India Express flights from Dubai to Mangalore that were delayed by several hours today.

"Most of the pilots operating Air India Express flights belong to the Indian Pilots Guild who are on strike," said Anand Pandey, manager of Air India's UAE division.

"We are accommodating passengers on other flights and are rescheduling flights to help passengers." Air India says it has fired 76 pilots for not reporting to work over the past week.
