Abu Dhabi launches traffic fines payment plan
ABU DHABI // From tomorrow, residents in the capital can arrange payment of their traffic fines in easy-to-afford instalments.
Drivers must have at least two fines worth a minimum of Dh2,000 to use the option, and are advised take advantage of the offer within the next few months.
Traffic authorities said they hoped the move would help those who have been unable to renew their expired car registration because they cannot afford to pay their outstanding fines. Registering cars, they said, was vital to ensuring the safety of cars on the road.
