50 new speed radars for Dubai will text of violation within seconds
Fifty more radars are to be installed on Dubai's roads to cover all the emirate's intersections, police have said.
The radars, which will be concentrated in newer neighbourhoods, are equipped with new technology that connects them to the police headquarters database.
This will enable officers to notify speeding motorists of their fine by SMS message within seconds of the violation taking place. The new radars are expected to be working by October.
